We only repair what's safe to repair
Our technicians follow British Standard BS AU 159 for car and van tyre repairs. Here's how we decide.
Usually repairable
A nail or screw in the central tread area, with no damage to the sidewall and no driving while flat.
Needs replacing
Damage to the sidewall or shoulder, a cut or bulge, or a tyre that has been driven on while flat.
Below the legal limit
Tread under 1.6 mm across the central three quarters of the tyre. That's illegal in the UK, and we'll replace it.

Can my puncture be repaired?
Usually, if it's a nail or screw in the central part of the tread and the tyre hasn't been driven on while flat. Damage to the sidewall or shoulder can't be repaired safely. Send us a photo and we'll tell you.
How do you repair a puncture?
We take the tyre off the wheel, check the inside for damage, then repair it from the inside with a plug and patch to British Standard BS AU 159. We don't use sealant or outside-only plugs.
How long does a puncture repair take?
Around 30 to 45 minutes once we're with you. We can usually get to you within 60 minutes.
Is a repaired tyre safe?
Yes, when it's done properly to BS AU 159. A correct repair lets you use the tyre for the rest of its life.
What if the tyre can't be repaired?
We'll show you why. Our vans carry new premium and budget tyres, so we can fit a replacement there and then at the price we agreed.
Can you fix a slow puncture?
Yes. We find where the air is escaping, whether it's the tread, the valve or the rim, and fix it.
Can you repair run-flat tyres?
Some run-flat tyres can be repaired, depending on the damage and the manufacturer's advice. Send us a photo and your reg and we'll let you know.
